Physical description:

Eldrin stands a proud 7’2” and is amongst the tallest of the Azari’cill of Luminion. Where he suffices in height, he lacks in strength. As Eldrin depends on his wit in times where physical force is deemed a necessity, his lack in physical strength shows.

Typically wearing his red attires, Eldrin can also be seen wearing his white and gold-accented suit which is reserved for business yet unknown.

Characteristics:

Rather secretive in nature, there is not a lot publicly known about the private life of the current head of the House of Faerondaerl. A trait which comes in handy in his line of work as he only has to explain things to his liege.

Eldrin keeps his circle small, but his contacts are broad. Even with familiar faces around the world, he knows that playing a long game is essential to proper results.

When not actively at work, Eldrin prefers to read and is regularly seen scouring the library and private collections of other households. If he can’t find any new books, he starts writing his own. Most are comparable to research papers on papers of economy and finances. Though there are also pieces going into detail about magic and heretical practises, the latter have never seen the light of day and are only rumoured to exist.

When at work however, Eldrin shows an almost unmatched passion for his craft and often goes night without rest to get his work done. For chaos doesn’t rest, and neither should he as long as it doesn’t.

When meeting the Faerondaerl be sure that every detail about the person in question is made a note of. Desiring to know everything about everything, no detail goes unnoted, and they might even find themselves in his pocket sized black book.

History:

Early life and rule

Born the only son to Menn’ho Faerondaerl, Eldrin had the complete attention of his father. In contrast to his father however, Eldrin never was quite the social butterfly of his family. Preferring the company of books over that of other elves, it was quite normal to find Eldrin studying in his free time from a young age.

As the years went on, the heir to the House of Faerondaerl began to take on more and more duties of his father to get accustomed with the tasks ahead of him. Ever since Eldrin has been in charge of the historical Faerondaerl offices, but not till the passing of his father did it become ‘de jure’ duties.

After Eldrin was sworn in as Minister of Economy and Finances, he oversaw a few changes which ensured the stability of Luminion’s finances at the expense of certain citizens.

With time bearing change, and with change being the only consistency in life, life itself went on. Eldrin eventually came into the possession of the office of Minister of National Security, overseeing the conservation of Luminion’s purity. An office which seems to be enjoyed more by him than his office of Minister of Economy and Finances.

Eventually Eldrin married Melima’alassë de Naussë, of a noble family which too favours a policy of strict purity. One which fitted Eldrin’s personal agenda perfectly.

The marriage was one out of duty however, starting out as a rather cold and estranged one. But as time passed, their relationship improved. Eventually even becoming father of a child born out of love, rather than duty

Rather recently in his life, Eldrin was named ‘Grand Prince of The Princedom of Thetius’ and was appointed to rule the Princedom of Thetius of the Luminous Kingdom in Luminous King Thalanil’s stead.

Death

Eldrin died around the tail-end of the event known as Eldrin's Rebellion after he was sent to the United Provinces of the Hinterlands for diplomatic negotiations, yet this was a ruse as the returned Therri’cill Aldir’tor Zaithrall struck a deal with Stadtholder Arnoud van Leuveren to assassinate him. As Eldrin entered Arnoud’s hall the doors were closed behind him and he was shot ten times in the back by Hintish soldiers wielding crossbows. His dead body was later delivered to Luminion where it lies preserved to this day.

Trivia:

  • Even though it is unknown whether Eldrin is capable of performing magic, his published papers are incredibly detailed when it comes to the subject.
  • Eldrin doesn’t necessarily see the world as good or bad, he sees the world as he needs it to be. Take where he can and leave where he sees fit. Nothing stands in the way of stability and order to him.
  • Eldrin is the first Faerondaerl to publicly hold two ministerial titles. The House of Faerondaerl traditionally holds the title of Minister of Economy and Finances.
