Description

Zombies are decayed, rotting corpses of the dead that have been brought back to life through any number of foul practices like necromancy, by voidal corruption, or perhaps through other means, desperately shuffling around and trying to feast on the flesh of the living.

They can be found in most areas that have a high population of humanoid corpses, though they won’t come back to life on their own. These locations include, but are not limited to, mass graves, old battlefields, cemeteries, crypts, catacombs, and burial sites. Occasionally, they can be found in other places as well, usually in smaller numbers.

Behaviour

These forms of reanimated dead don't have a mind of their own, instead mindlessly following their own desire to eat the flesh of the living.

They aren’t especially dangerous on their own but can easily be overwhelming in large numbers as their undead bodies are fairly resistant to physical damage. They can also sometimes be found wearing armor, bolstering their defensive capabilities even further.

Their physical behavior usually includes shambling around towards the living and ripping pieces out of them should they come too close. They don’t feel pain and will relentlessly chase their targets until they are too damaged to move.

Abilities

Although zombies aren’t intelligent enough to use weapons, their unarmed strikes are just as dangerous as they have the ability to claw the flesh of their targets as well as grab them and bite their vital spots.

Melee Attack - Uses Strength to make 2 melee attacks; due to the clawing nature of these attacks they deal d2 damage per strike.

Grappling Attack - Uses Strength to make 1 melee attack. If the target fails its defensive roll, the zombie grabs it and bites down on its flesh, dealing d6 damage.
