Introduction

The Galerian Werewolves are voidal creatures with a centenarian history bound to the so-called “Galerian House”, a demonic house in Moqa.

The Galerian House, also called the “House of Galerius” is a millennial noble house of Demonic lords and some of the youngest among all the Voidal houses in general, founded after the conquest of Lilith.

This house is the most chivalrous and virtuous among all the Demonic Houses, even if full of traitors and nobles of twisted morals. They are very different from the House of the Beast, their counterpart in the Hemon plane, far more feral and infamous. Always penitent and regretful, both their native Werewolf demons and the newborns of the Lilith admire the purity of the innocents and try to abstain from flesh as a demonstration of virtue, usually unsuccessfully.

The Galerian Archduchy occupies many lands on Lilith, and sometimes try to expand into “Marquisates” in Eseron through voidal portals and rifts.

Habitat

Any place of Eden, Lilith, Moqa

Description

Galerian Werewolves resemble mortal knights of any race in their first form. They usually wear full demonic plate armor with an armet concealing their face and their disquieting red eyes.

Galerian Werewolves, especially ones of higher ranks wear banners of the Archduchy on their armor and shields.

The Sigil of the archduke’s Galerian house are two unicorns, black and white, symbolizing their dualistic nature and their declared worship for innocence and anything that is holy.

Their voidal armor allows them to keep this protection when they transform back to their primal form and it’s a part of them, enchanted with voidal magic.

Under this armor, they can be any type of humanoid medium creature, but they’re usually elven or human; with noble, elegant clothes, they have red shining eyes.

When they transform their snout gets longer, their skull larger.

Werewolves grow hair of any color normally from black to white and enlarge their skeletal structure, which develop large claws and prominent large fangs.

Behaviour

Galerian Werewolves like to think themselves as honorful creatures, although they are well aware of their need for flesh and are always fighting in some war declared by their lords.

Their main hold is in Moqa, also known as the Hellish Pits, where the Pale Castle of Archduke Galerius stands in its threatening magnificence.

They like to wander and patrol the dead towns of Lilith, where they defend their territory from all the other demons, especially the Vampires from Hemon, which are their most bitter enemies and rivals.

Only the most experienced and skillful among the Werewolves survive to their hard life and oath, for a long enough time to acquire their mighty and iconic transformation.

The ones who do are extremely confident and skilful warriors and can naturally use voidal magic to regenerate themselves and transform into their werewolf form, which they prefer for hunting, chasing and exploring.

Galerian Werewolves speak the common tongue and obey to their hierarchy as it’s typical for a demon of Moqa: If they’re a common knight, they’ll serve a count or a marquis; if they’re a count or a marquis they’ll serve one of the three Galerian dukes or the Archduke.

The Galerian Cursed House led by Archduke Galerius continuously alternate war declarations on either the living or another demonic spawn. They call the ones against the living “Black wars of sin” and the ones against the demons “White wars of redemption”.

These wars are the most common way for the Werewolf Archduke Galerius to condemn minor nobles, since he can organize suicidal wars against other demonic entities (such as other Demonic Houses): to ask forgiveness for the Galerian sins against the innocent livings or to eliminate possible rivals to its throne.

Galerian Knights appear as religious beings with a conscience although their feral behavior can often make them fail.

Some of them go mad after they feast on innocent people, in the frenzy of battle or slaughter. When it happens, and the guilt has consumed their mind, the Galerian Werewolf enter one of their many Cathedrals, in Lilith or in the Voidal Plane, and there they get “blessed” by the Holy Titan of Miracles (see The Blessing of the Miracle).

The “Holy Titan of Miracles” is a mystery, and nobody knows about its true form, or where he actually lives: if in the Hellish Pits itself or somewhere else.

In Combat

A Galerian Knight fights fiercely and proudly. When its enemies surrender he’ll respect it and stop attacking. They’ll disarm them and proceed on their way. But they’ll have to try hard to do this if they’ve transformed into their werewolf form.

When Galerian Werewolves are in trouble and they’re heavily outnumbered or under half of their hp, they’ll try to transform using the full round action. They almost never flee in this form although exceptional Werewolves might exist.

Abilities

Voidal Regeneration: A Galerian Werewolf regenerates 1hp/round and can regrow any limb but the head in a month's time, in either of its form.

Dazzling Mastery: A Galerian Werewolf can parry one melee attack/round as a free action in another player’s turn, when not in his Werewolf form.

Werewolf Transformation: A Galerian Werewolf can transform into its werewolf form in a full round action, acquiring an enhanced 14 agility, the “Feral Attack” ability, and double movement action. After the transformation, a Galerian Knight also heals 2d3. He’ll be far more aggressive, gain nightvision, and have difficulty controlling himself and his thirst for blood. He will get back to his previous form after one day (and never during a combat).

Feral attack: When transformed, a Galerian Werewolf can deal a ferocious attack with both claws and his bite, dealing 2d6 damage to a single target. Being reduced to less than 0hp by this attack means you will get dismembered and possibly lose some of your limbs.

Senses A galerian Werewolf has improved smell, sight, hearing and strength. Its smell gives it blindsight in a 9m radius, he is able to perceive anything hidden or invisible. All other senses of his are increased and always gets +30 in an initiative (d100) roll.

Moqa Traits Demons from Moqa can be killed normally with any weapon, although you’ll need to cut their head off or their voidal regeneration will bring them back to life in the next days.

The Blessing of the Miracle

Unless they really have an uncommon flawless morality and an exemplary conduct, a Galerian Knight usually have one curse among the followings, and takes -5 in the initiative roll for each of these curses:

Blindness: The Werewolf’s sight is fogged and cannot see further than 18m

Golden Nose: Its nose turned into metallic gold and he lost its ability to smell and perceive hidden and invisible things around him. The werewolf will never remove his armet, when not in his werewolf form.

Deaf: A deaf Werewolf always starts last in the initiative round and cannot hear noises. They can still understand people who talk by reading lips.

Golden arm: One of the werewolf arms has partially turned into gold, making it more difficult for him to attack and move. He doesn’t move twice when in werewolf form, and all its attack rolls are decreased by 2.
