Introduction

Commonly grows in the most clement parts of the Heartlands and even the parts of the Hinterlands that aren’t drenched in snow, usually growing in meadows or shorter grass. Attian culture believes it to grow around holy sites dedicated to the Maker. This however mostly comes from makerist settlers building chapels and similar structures wherever these flowers bloom.

Description

This plant has small white blooms that look similar to a puff of cotton, and large, cone-shaped leaves that hang low to the ground. The leaves are surprisingly brittle to the touch and break easily, and the blooms are fuzzy and puffy, with no smell. They can usually be found in clusters together of anywhere from 2 to 8 plants. The flower is famous for its naturally musical properties. When the wind breezes past, an eerie, low tone can be heard whistling from the plant as though it is humming a prayer.

Usage

Care must be taken when harvesting the plant so that it doesn’t die, especially around the leaves. Although they might be large in size, they’re quite fragile and damaging them won’t allow them to sing in the wind like they usually do.

  • Leaves
These leaves don’t have many interesting properties aside from the sound they make in the wind, but can be crushed and used as the base to make teas and other drinks from.
  • Seeds
The seeds can be found inside the small white blooms of the flower itself, and can be used to domesticate the plant in most temperate climates.
