Introduction

This weed grows in places infected by the red voidal corruption, spreading throughout the natural terrain around it, similarly to a fungus as its spores carry through the wind. The patches of corruption continue to spread until the source of the corruption is eliminated, and they are incredibly dangerous to be around.

Description

Touching this weed with bare skin results in a sticky burning sensation that is incredibly painful, leaving nasty scars all over the skin with which it comes in contact. Although these scars heal like any other, they cause severe pain and a burning sensation that lasts a long time. This weed spreads slower than the blue variant but is more dangerous to come in contact with as it can cause more lasting damage than the plague-like Warped Weed and is much more painful. Like its blue counterpart, domesticating is impossible as it is not of this world.

Spiky, fungal-like weeds that grow from the red voidal corruption. They don't release as many spores as their blue counterparts, but they are much more detrimental to body parts that come in contact with it. The weeds will linger until their source of them is destroyed.

• Spores

A cloud of spores that is incredibly deadly to breathe in must be avoided at all costs. Regarding contact with the natural terrain, it will settle and grow into more Crimson weed that corrupts the surrounding area. Used properly, though, these spores can become helpful in aiding people in need.
