Introduction
A Fire Lizard encountered in Eden is a low intelligence creature made of pure instincts and burning vitality.
This particular minor elemental is like a living spark, always in movement and vibrating with lively kinetic energy. Fire Lizards are hardly found distant from rifts to Ignos and usually come out of their rifts intrigued by the material plane, but they get back to Ignos after a short time.
It is considered a minor fire elemental entity, as it is made of fire elemental magic that can travel into Eseron by making his body similar to incandescent plasma and enter the smallest rifts it finds in his home plane.
Habitat
You might find them next to rifts to Ignos plane, inside volcanos or regions where fire magic ley lines are close to the surface.
Description
A Fire Lizard looks like a crimson red reptile with very small scales, glittering with fire elemental magic and incandescence.
It’s called Fire Lizard due to its similarities to Eden lizards, but it is merely made of fire magic and heat.
It has red flaming eyes and the aspect of a 1m long lizard. Sometimes when it’s excited or gets hit by Eden flames or midday sun rays, its body brightens and emits solar bursts of light.
A fire lizard can run very fast, but it usually prefers to blink around using its sun ray form, leaving small scorching areas in the process.
Behaviour
Fire Lizards like to travel as far as they can, seeking heat and volcanic areas. It is usually aggressive and likes to start fires and attack the living creatures it encounters.
Experienced pyromancers might try to befriend these creatures showing off some of their magic but the nature of these lizards is unpredictable and they are usually dangerous for the surrounding environment.
It is not rare that these creatures are the fire starter for major forest fires or magical happenings. Their intelligence is minor and slightly more intelligent than a normal lizard.
In Combat
In combat the Fire Lizard will try to use the sun ray form to both damage its opponents and flee from major manaces. It prefers frontal tactics and suicide attacks.
Abilities
Non-Magic Damage Reduction: The body of the Fire Lizard is made of fire and it’s only his shape and ability to keep his solid form that it’s being damaged. For this reason, any damage he receives is reduced by one, unless it's magical
Sun Ray Form: The fire Lizard can turn itself into a fast traveling hot beam that damages everyone in a line. The lizard can move any distance within 10 m and everyone in a line takes 1d6 damage.
Fire Claws: The Fire Lizard summons long claws made of deadly magic fire. Its full attack deals 2d3 damage and can leave the target burning.
Fire immunity: The Fire Lizard is immune to any sort of fire or Ignos magic.
Drops
When the Fire Lizard dies from being either killed or captured and thus being unable to get back to his elemental plane, a part of his falling spirit may crystallize in some minor drops.
