Description

Kobolds are reptile creatures about 150cm tall. Their dark red scales are as hard as a small dragon’s, and hardly reflect light.

They have yellow reptilian eyes, wyvern-like horns and a short flattened snout.

Behaviour

Kobolds do not like frontal attacks and usually prefer to ambush their enemies, or attract them into their traps. They are extremely defensive and used to consider any non-kobold being as a threat.

Befriending them can be extremely difficult as they fear anything stranger that gets closer. They like to flee unless their den or family is threatened directly.

Their tribal societies orbit around their den. They usually worship dragons and larger reptiles as if they are their ancestors or elder gods.

Sometimes they make rituals and tribute their piles of gold and riches they collect to attract a dragon (any type): either for worship, or for some major deal of self defense or mutual help.

They usually depend on a Kobold Warchief or, much more rarely, a dragon.

In Combat

The Kobold will try to escape unless ordered otherwise by a warchief or some bigger entity. They can make and effectively use simple weapons such as spears or bows.

Abilities

Trapmaking: Kobolds are expert in traps and they have a millenary tradition in trap building and dodging traps. They never fall into non-magical traps and can make traps in very little time.

Survival Abilities: Kobolds can survive in the wild even with the hardest temperature and climate conditions. They’re also immune to most voidal magic.

Drops

Kobolds are humanoid creatures that can wield and possess any kind of item.

They’re usually poor and their crafts are hardly as good as that of civilized cultures, but they sometimes have rarer items or weapons that are either stolen from their enemies or retrieved from old sites.
