Description

A Kobold Warchief is a muscular reptile creature about 230 cm tall. Usually (but not always) a male, its dark red scales are as hard as a medium dragon’s, and hardly reflect light.

He has yellow reptilian eyes, wyvern-like horns and a short flattened snout.

Differently from minor kobolds, he wears light armor and carries more advanced weapons, usually stolen or collected somewhere, like Denur underground old cities.

Behaviour

A Kobold Warchief does not like frontal attacks and usually prefers to ambush his enemies with large kobold companies, or attract them into their traps. He mostly never fights alone and likes to act as a strategist: ruling the kobolds, setting up defenses and traps and eventually organizing ambushes.

A Kobold Warchief is more intelligent than a normal kobold and can even say simple sentences.

In Combat

The Kobold Warchief will avoid combat if possible, just trying to attack from a distance when able to and leading other kobolds into battle.

Abilities

Trapmaking: Kobolds are expert in traps and they have a millenary tradition in trap building and dodging traps. They never fall into non-magical traps and can make traps in very little time.

Survival Abilities: Kobolds can survive in the wild even with the hardest temperature and climate conditions. They’re also immune to most voidal magic.

Drops

Kobolds are humanoid creatures that can wield and possess any kind of item.

They’re usually poor and their crafts are hardly as good as that of civilized cultures, but they sometimes have rarer items or weapons that are either stolen from their enemies or retrieved from old sites.
