Introduction

Pigs are animals that come in a lot of different shapes and sizes, some of them stay small and others become pretty big. They also come in a lot of different colors, by example pinks and brown shades. Pigs have big ears and a flat nose, this flat nose is perfect for rooting. Their legs are very short and they have a curly tail.

Behaviour

Pigs are pretty lazy animals, they normally rest for 19 hours a day. For the rest of the day they’re looking for food. They do this by rooting their nose in the ground looking for little insects or worms. Pigs also love to take a bath in the mud. They do this to cool off and to keep insects away. When the mud on the skin dries and falls off the insects go with it. Pigs are very intelligent animals who communicate with many different sounds. They can also teach themselves tricks.

Abilities

Pigs have a very strong ability to memorize things. They also have the ability to learn their own name, only 2 after they’re born they will start to recognize the sound the mother pig makes to address him. Another ability they have is that they can run very fast, about 17.5 kilometers per hour and they have an amazing sense of direction.
