Introduction
This rare plant grows in hot and dry places, most commonly in the Anjyarr Desert, though sometimes they can be found atop the mesa plateaus of Anjyarr and the Delorwaki Savannah. Though rare, this plant can be domesticated if the area is sufficiently hot, like a desert, mesa, or savannah.
Description
A herb with silver-blue leaves and yellowish-green stalks that stay low to the ground but have very deep roots. The leaves glow dimly at night, often attracting small scorpions and other insects. The leaves of the herbs are very silky to the touch and smell like the fresh, cool waters of an underground reservoir, which draw the nutrients through the stalks' long roots, allowing them to grow in hot and dry areas.
The plant's roots are the most important part of its growth, and care must be taken around them not to destroy them. If the roots are damaged, the plant will likely die as the plant grows by harvesting nutrients from the roots. This is why the leaves and the seeds are the only parts of the plant that can be harvested, as the roots are too important to the development of the plant to be uprooted.
Usage
Sapphire Sali is not the only one to do this. Blimberry can offer a similar effect, albeit more profound and slower paced than the bitter berry, best used when not amid combat. However, it can have a stronger effect than the faster-acting Blimberry Salves.
- Leaves
- When brewed into a potion, the leaves often exhibit a deep healing effect, helping to close wounds and regenerate lost tissue, and can be used as an all-purpose healing salve that, although rarer than other healing herbs like Blimberry.
- Seeds
- These small, blue seeds are needed to regrow the plant in similarly hot and dry areas. They are round and are bitter to taste; but not entirely inedible.
