Introduction
Stoneberries are small, hard little berries roughly the size of a blackberry and look like little pebbles at first glance. Although they aren't especially interesting, they grow off the ground on little shrubs, which is unlikely that one may mistake them for a stone because of their elevated height.
Description
The shrubs are brown and bland, and they look just like any other mundane small shrub, with the only defining feature being the stone-like berries they grow. The outer shell of the stoneberry is hard like a pebble and feels exactly like a common stone, except for the stem that connects to the shrub, which betrays its true identity. They must be cracked open before one can get to the useful edible parts that aren't very tasteful inside. They can be found in all parts of Eden and all different climates but appear much more frequently in mountainous regions along the Spine of Eden and the Tail of Eden. While the Stoneberry contains seeds that can be used to domesticate and relocate the plant, there isn't much of a use outside of this other than convenience, as the Stoneberry is relatively mundane and very common.
Usage
- Stoneberries
- Hard, stone-like little berries that must be cracked open like a nut to get to the flesh of the berry itself. They aren't very tasteful and not very filling, but they will do as a meal in times of hardship or if there is nothing else to eat.
- Seeds
- Seeds that can be used to replicate and domesticate Stoneberry plants for convenience, although they can be found fairly commonly anyways and don't have any special properties outside their stony exteriors.
