Introduction

East of Eden’s Tail lies the narrow strip of land known as The Giant’s Corridor. This bountiful and surprisingly fertile expanse has been avoided by the locals of nearby settlements, for each passing of Lilith’s Veil, it becomes a passage for the northeastern tribes and tribes of Giant Kin. These humongous horrors leave the frozen wastes of the Ancient Giant Lands and travel south primarily through the Corridor which is the easiest access point of the continent, seeking the warmth of Eden’s southern lush and fertile lands. Their migration has become infamous as tales speak of trampled fields, slaughtered cattle and wildlife, and the unparalleled destruction left in their wake as these brutes take what they need for their tribes and show no mercy to those who aim to deny that.

Geography

The Giant’s Corridor stretches along the eastern edge of Eden’s Tail down from the Dzrathas Mountains which acts as a natural border separating the Glade of Dragons from the giant’s trails of the corridor. The land of the strip is surprisingly lush and fertile as it has not been touched by mortal hands and tamed like much of the continent. However, when a migrating giant tribe makes its way south through these lands, its natural beauty and wildlife are ravaged and destroyed to its very core, plucked empty until none is left, a destruction that only starts to heal whenever the migrating hulks make their way back up north or are driven out by the now-destroyed eastern guard of the Denur who hailed from Dar-Azur.

History

The history of the Giant’s Corridor is as ambiguous as the Giants themselves. For as long as records have been kept, the tribes of Giant Kin have used this route to trek further southward during Lilth’s Veil’s bitter conditions in the far north. Early Denur accounts from Dar-Azur describe these migrations as almost ceremonial, with the Giants appearing as if summoned by Lilith’s Veil's first snowfall to bring down the frozen wrath on the temperate south.

In the days of Dar-Azur’s peak, it stood as a lone watchtower over the Corridor, its scouts often spotting Giants roaming the woods below, sometimes attempting to scale the mountain into Eden’s mainland. These acts of trespassing were answered with steel and stone as the Denur’s Eastern Guards of Dar-Azur marched out in large numbers to face these threats and eradicate or drive them away before they could cause any damage. This was a necessary act as Dar-Azur itself had been a prime target of the giants due to its large open eastern halls which were considered perfect shelters for giant tribes. In modern times, the once mighty hold is sealed and the corridor lays wide open for any potential future incursions. The question therefore is not if it happens, but rather, when?
