Introduction

Usebileins, also called “Unicorns”, are magical creatures resembling a horse with one single, large pointed, spiraling horn projecting from its forehead.

They are very famous, among both Voidal and Elemental mages and the apex of natural magical alteration. Their fundamental ability to absorb voidal magic using their horn and convert it into elemental magic makes this very rare species extremely interesting for any researcher.

They can even heal corrupted lands, absorbing the corruption and healing whatever it’s rotting or falling into degradation.

Habitat

The Norlanden, Magna Attia, Heartlands, Hinterlands.

Description

Usebileins have the aspect of a unicorn, resembling a white or (more rarely) black horse with a 40 cm extremely sharp, spiraling pointy horn projecting from his forehead.

Everything surrounding the Usebilein glitters and vibrates with his radiant elemental magic that he can produce from the voidal magic he absorbs with his horn.

Its sleek fur shines when near to a voidal magic source and its white horse-mane glooms when he feels in danger. Its purple piercing eyes reflect its incredible concealed magical powers.

Behaviour

Usebileins are used to roam the Attian regions, despite their apparitions being unique and their presence a mystery.

The facts we know about these creatures are that they’re peaceful, extremely magical; their presence has the ability to reduce the voidal corruption in an area for that's been absorbed by his horn.

For this reason, Unicorns are hunted by demons, since they slow the corruption of Eden and the voidal magic contained in their horn allows them to survive further in the Material Plane. It is said that many Archdemons survived in Eden mainly feeding on Unicorns’ horns.

An Usebilein is extremely fast and even able to use any type of elemental magic, and most importantly it has the unique ability to teleport. He does teleport only when it feels in extreme danger and to do so he discharges most of the voidal energy it would have to convert in its horn, that shines brightly, and it’ll feel heavily fatigued afterwards.

Its horse-mane completely shields him from voidal damage and influence, which he can store in his forehead and convert into elemental magic that uses for various purposes.

Usebileins can walk over water, heal their wounds and the surrounding creatures’ at incredible speed and their horn brightens with Ignos magic when it charges. Its attack could even kill one adult person. Unicorns are extremely intelligent, although they cannot talk.

In Combat

Usebileins are extremely peaceful and hardly attack anyone. Unicorns always try to escape with their lightning speed.

If obliged to, it’ll charge and trample anyone in its way and try to escape with its teleport ability.

Abilities

Elemental Charge Usebilein’s horn brightens with Ignos magic and charges forward, shrouded by an intense, glittering, magical aura and orange scent. The charge will ignore any encumbrance and break any obstacle while the Unicorn rapidly travels 25 m in a line direction, dealing 3d6 fire damage to any entity. This action has a 10 rounds cooldown.

Magical Walk Usebilein can walk over any terrain, including water, quicksand and even lava, ignoring any penalty. Its base speed is 10.

Teleportation Usebilein channels most of its mixed elemental magic it produces from its horn, becoming a living torch of light for 1 round, and teleports away in any other part of Eden in the next round. This process cannot be stopped but with the death of the Unicorn. After a teleportation a Unicorn is fatigued: its speed is halved and cannot charge for a whole minute (or 10 rounds). It can be used once a day only,

Void Immunity: Usebilein is immune to voidal magic. Being hit by voidal magic or staying in a Voidal biome heals him 1 hp/round.

Lunar healing: Unicorns can heal themselves or any other creature of 2d6 each round. Any rotting creature or vegetation gets restored and even lost limbs or senses could be restored after a >7 healing. If it gets saved or it feels in debt with someone, the Unicorn will always try to heal him before leaving.

Drops

The Usebilein fur has a really high value for the voidal mages who ignore a Unicorn has been killed for it. This fur shines brightly and glows when in the presence of voidal magic. The most valuable part of the Unicorn is of course its horn, which can have many uses: weapons and arrows built with this horn might deal additional elemental damage under particular circumstances.

An Usebilein horn has an extremely high value for demons and voidal entities. In the rare case the Usebilein is killed when it’s channeling its teleportation skill, a rarer variant of this horn can be retrieved which holds a large source of just converted elemental magic instead of voidal one.

Its horse-mane can be retrieved although it becomes completely black when it’s killed.
