His mesomorph structure makes him seem like he is one to fight, but he dislikes being involved with violence, he prefers spontaneous chatter in the tavern or being hard at work in the brewery. His apparel is usually formal, his favourite attire is a white blouse, with a brown turtleneck and a large dark coat, with a pair of beige trousers. His work attire usually consists of a blouse and some work pants. For royal events he likes to get his favourite white, red and golden - coloured jacket with a pair of tall boots and mangrove-coloured trousers.
Characteristics
In terms of Sigsmund's personality, he is the complete opposite of his brother Friderich. Whilst Friderich is known for his overall good mood, Sigsmund is often referred as secretive and rather cynical. Uppon further conversation with the individual, Sigsmund will start opening up and being as warm and welcoming as his brother. Sigsmund's streak for business also contributes greatly to the shared Bergwald-Holstein Company, which face is Friderich. Nevertheless, Sigsmund's importance in the company is the same as his brother's as he is in charge of trying out new recipes for drinks and food, organising events and taking care of the pricing on the menu. Sigsmund discipline offers honesty, respectfullness and loyalty to anyone he thinks deserves it by being overall nice to him or just someone. Sigsmund's negative personality traits are usually being a massive control freak, trying to do everything very rapidly and speedy which results in him being messy often and expecting for everyone to be on time, when most of the time they are not. A bad habit of his is bitting his nails when he is nervous and tapping his fingers and legs on the counter or the floor to create a rhythm when he is bored.
History
Early Life
Born in Bergwald right before the rotting plague, the Bergwald-Holstein brothers had a reasonably well upbringing seeing the circumstances. They did not live in a fancy home, nor did they have particularly wealthy parents, one could say they had what they needed in these times of peril.
In the early days of their upbringing both Friederich and Sigsmund were under the care of their grandparents, as their parents deemed it safer to have their kids isolated from day-to-day life. It was at their grandparents where the two brothers grew close to each-other. Running around their grand-parents farm, Friederich could often been seen pulling pranks on his little brother. The older brother did this to divert his attention a the gruesome stories he had heard about the plague that was ongoing, the stories and sights of bodies piled up, filling the air with the stenches of death.
Sigsmund, during this time, didn't really have a clue that something was going on, he much rather spent time learning the ways of kitchen-mastery that his grandmother had showed him.
Though, against the odds The Bergwald-Holstein family would make it through the plague. Friederich, now 9 years old, was expected to strengthen up, his lack of discipline, unlike Sigsmund was evident to his father, so his father decided to take matters into his own hand, and ordered Friederich to get to work. And so it went, as the young child returned to his own home for the first time in his life, he was taught the way of the Bergwald-Holstein family, brewing.
Teenage Years
As Friederich was taught the ways of the brewery by his father Ferdinand, his younger brother Sigsmund would follow suit after a few years, he learnt the "magic" his father taught Friederich, although Sigsmund was always more fond of baking and cooking over brewing. They continued this training for the rest of their younger years, before finally when they reached early adult-hood, the two brothers decided to head to the newly established capital, Adelsburg.
Upon arrival in Adelsburg the two brothers found themselves mis-aligned on the reason as to why they were there. While Friederich wanted to take this opportunity away from his home-village to enjoy the lavish city lifestyle, Sigsmund had different reasons to be at the capital.
This disagreement let to a falling out, and for a relatively short period the both brothers went their own ways. While Sigsmund decided to study Economics in the Hadrian college where he learned how to run a business and how to be a successful salesman. Friederich decided to follow his passion, food and drinks. It was this passion that led him straight to the tavern, standing tall over the main street of Adelsburg; the tavern was owned by a certain Boris Krüger, Braumeister of the Kingdom of Hadriana.
The business that the Braumeister had established made an impact on Friederich and from that day on he felt inspired by it. He enjoyed the rest of his stay at Adelsburg and he was to be found in the tavern almost every night, yet, this period of enjoyment was short-lived, as after a year Friederich received troublesome news. He was to come to Bergwald at an instance, and so he did. Sigsmund met up with Friederich where they travelled east-bound, where they learned of the news that their father had perished.
This unforeseen death of their father left a hole inside the Bergwald-Holstein business, a hole that needed to be filled. And as such the two brothers decided to combine their learnings and take over the company, taking over from their father they would continue the Bergwald-Holstein company for years to come, all the while sharing their own skills with each-other.
Yet one day, it was Sigsmund that grew tired of Bergwald, having grown fond of the capital he longed for it. After endless nights of Sigsmund begging Friederich to return west, under the guise of business opportunities, Friederich finally gave in.
As they loaded up their carriage with barrels they made their way to the Imperial Capital. The capital had significantly grown since the Kingdom had become an Empire, and such had the prices. Therefore they had no option but to sell their beer from a simple stall in front of the city. Business was slow, but steady one might say.
The Rise and Fall of the Electorate Imperium of Hadriana
Yet faith would strike again. After the sudden death of Kaiser Philipp von Lichtenfelts and the rise of The Electorate Imperium of Hadriana the brothers felt unsafe. Having been avid supporters of the Kaiserist family they decided to run while they could. Flussland, the Hadrian province that had been sold to Raevendrecht seemed to be the only logical place to flee too. And so, with the remaining supporters of the Kaiserist regime they headed to the town of Lünburg.
Here, the brothers would meet the soon to be Kaiser, Diederick-Göbel von Lichtenfelts. And Herzog Janzcyk-Mariusz Tzyrnowski with whom they both grew reasonably close. These relations made it possible for Friederich and Sigsmund to set up a shop again, this time in Lünburg where they brewed and sold drinks created with local produce.
This lingered on for a while, until they received the great news of the Electorate Imperium crumbling. And as the northern forces headed south to reclaim what was once theirs, the brothers followed suit.
Modern Life
To this day Sigsmund and his way of cooking learned from his grandmother and mother owns a tavern and brewery in Adelsburg together, with his older brother Friederich who's experience in brewing provides the whole of the Hadrian Empire with quality drinks.
