Habitat

Bees are mainly found in the South, Middle and East of Eden, because there are many different flowering plates there. These are not very common in the colder areas, so there are no bees to be found.

Description

A bee is a small insect that can be recognized by its characteristic buzz and the black and yellow stripes on its skin. Their size is usually around 20cm. They generally live in swarms and play a greater role in the pollination of many plants, trees and flowers. They are also a very important source of several types of products that are also used by the inhabitants of Eden. For example, bees are a major supplier of honey, which is used by the residents in various types of drinks, food and in some cases for cleaning wounds and washing skin and hair, since its cleansing effect. In addition, bees also provide beeswax, which is mainly used for making candles, for example.

The body of a bee, like other insects, consists of three parts: a head, a thorax and an abdomen. At the top of the head are two antennae, which the bee uses as a sensory organ. The thorax is divided into 3 parts, which can be recognized by the position of the legs and wings attached to it. The back of the bee's body has only a posterior appendage, which forms the stinger in the female bees. The skin of the honey bee is covered with hairs, most of the dense and longest hairs are mainly on the top of the head and on the thorax.

A bee’s wings are thin and transparent, with a membrane-like structure. In addition to moving forward with the wings, a bee also has wings to move backwards. The first pair of legs, the pair closest to the head are used to clean the eyes and antennae. The second pair of legs are mainly for spreading the pollen of the plants. The hind legs are also used to transport more pollen with them.

Behaviour

Flowering plants depend on the pollination of animals, especially the pollination by bees. Bees live in large societies. This coexistence is kept in order with a division of tasks. For example, maintaining the nest is a task in which all the workers collaborate.

They are also responsible for making comb cells, keeping the hive clean, chasing away enemies, repairing holes, making honey, collecting food and keeping the hive safe. In addition to workers, the colony in the beehive also consists of drones. The drones have the task of making comb cells with a larger size. In this, unfertilized eggs are placed by the nut. All the newborn bees eventually emerge from these eggs after they hatch in 3 days.

Abilities

A bee sting contains a small amount of poison. This is not enough to kill someone, but it still causes a mild kind of pain, but also a burning and stinging sensation at the site of the sting. It can also cause dizziness.

A bee sting deals 2 damage and decreases the target’s rolls by -1 in the next round.

Drops

A bee’s sting can be used to make needles when all the poison is gone. Sometimes a bee drops a little bit of honey.

This honey is used in many ways, for example for cleaning skin, hair and wounds. Honey is also widely used in making many different dishes and in many drinks to give it a sweeter taste.

They also drop wax that can be used for candles.
