Introduction

The Vis Medeis or the mangrove tree in common tongue is a rare but magical tree, with its seeds said to be from another realm. The mangrove only houses fruits for one month, but they are magical and have various abilities. The tree rarely grows in tropical biomes but does grow in magical forests. It is also found in lush caverns all across Eden.

The mangrove has a wood similar to oak. The color has the same golden hue on the inside and is brown on the outside. It has the same toughness as oak wood too. The leaves are spread all across the treetop in great numbers. They are light green and small, and they give off a bit of a glow. The leaves have a round shape. They taste like sweet berries. The tree only houses fruits for one month a year. These fruits are bright pink and feel really soft, like soft wool. They taste like sweet and tasty berries. The berries are magical, housing some arcane energy. The tree usually doesn't grow large, only up to 10 meters or 32 feet. Their tropical counterpart can grow a bit larger up to 18 meters or 59 feet. Inside caverns, you can often find them hanging upside down.

Usage

Wood

The wood is used for the construction of houses, as it is almost identical to oak wood. It is tough and strong so it makes the ideal wood to build a house with together with oak wood.

Leaves

The leaves grant some easing to physical pain when eaten, and they can be used to make various concoctions.

Fruits

The fruits taste like sweetberries and are said to alleviate common cold. Though some say these fruits are used in powerful brews.
